Dr. Curtis self describes himself as “old as dirt.” Outside of that, he has a B.S from Baylor in Physics and worked as a physicist for the Navy for a few years. After this, he met his wife and has now been married for 53 years. He has also received a Masters Degree in Old Testament from Trinity Theological seminary as well as a Ph.D in Hebrew and Biblical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. He has taught for 40 years at Biola University in Old Testament. Specific to our topic today, he has also written a commentary on the Song of Songs that you should definitely check out if you’re looking to dive deeper.
I am excited for you guys to hear from him as we dive into this poetic book about love and romance.

Angela Lee is a native East Coast baby, having lived in NY, SC, VA, CT, DE and then TX. Angela graduated from the University of Delaware with her degree in Human Services with a concentration in Clinical Services. She went on and applied her degree by working with organizations such as Communities in Schools, the Boys & Girls Club, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. Angela has served in ministry 9 years and currently serves as the Pastor of Volunteers & Guest Relations at Fellowship Pasadena. She also serves on the preaching team at Fellowship church. She is the oldest of four children and credits her parents for fostering her love for others and her strong commitment to service. Angela is passionate about Jesus, people, justice, the Enneagram (she’s a 1!), Disneyland, and yummy food.

Chad is the Director of Student Led Ministries and Spiritual Formation at Biola University. He leads some of the chapels, teaches Spiritual Formation, and shares an advisory role to Biola’s Student Missionary Union. Chad served as a pastor locally for 12 years before he came to Biola and has been married to Beth since 2002. He got his undergraduate degree from Biola University in Communication Studies and Masters in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. Chad answers to his name, or to one of two nicknames, “Mad Chiller” or “Chad-the-Dad.”

Kevin Van Lant is a licensed clinical psychologist who received his Ph.D. from Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. He also received an M.A. in Clinical Psychology as well as a B.A. in Psychology. He teaches courses in pastoral care and counseling, marriage counseling, psychopathology and health psychology. Van Lant has a clinical practice at the Center for Individual and Family Therapy (CIFT), a large, non-profit Christian counseling center in Orange County, California.

On today’s episode, David shares with us his thoughts, experiences, and studies done with Sexual addiction, pornography, and recovery. I’m excited for you guys to hear from him!
David is an 09' graduate of Biola University where he studied theology and philosophy. Since 2011, he has been working in the field of social services and is currently finishing a Masters in Counseling for Marriage and Family Therapy at Cal State Fullerton. There, he is writing a thesis on the therapeutic treatment of problematic pornography use amongst religious populations. David has been involved in the sex addiction recovery world and in multiple 12-step programs both as a participant and as a mentor since 2013 and his goal is to become a certified sex-addiction therapist to fulfill his passion of healing and educating sexually broken individuals through the intersection of psychotherapy and spirituality.

She received her undergraduate degree in Intercultural Studies from Biola and went on to pursue her Masters in Higher Education and Student Development at Taylor University in Indiana.
